SERVAS INTERNATIONAL

Servas is an international non-profit network of hosts and travelers, who offer brief home stays visits to approved members.  Established in 1949 provides opportunities for personal contact among people of diverse cultures in the cause of world peace. We are the youth chapter offering an space to young members interested in languages, international meetings, world music and cultural diversity.

Welcome! "ServasYouth"

The youth chapter of a worldwide association of travelers and hosts in about 140 countries all over the world called “Servas".


Servas is an international non-religious, non-political, non-profit and non-governmental peace organization whose main aim is for members to learn from each others’ culture and diversity through person to person contact. Through this personal interaction, we foster friendship and understanding.

Servas was founded in 1949 by Bob Luitweiler and operates with an open door policy as hosts welcome travelers into their homes and vice versa. This web site is developed for the volunteers of the Servas Youth Working Group.

Servas General Assembly occurs every 3 years. This global meeting takes about 25 main decisions, elections and appointments. It assesses the state of the Servas world to make improvements. In 2009, the General Assembly will be held south of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
